Hairdressers are daily exposed to hazardous substances.
Many studies identify allergy, difficulty of breathing,
eczema and infertility as common ailments. It is
unacceptable that a large proportion of hairdressers and
clients are having health problems. Hair care products end up,
via the sewers, in the sewage treatment — that not
always manage to remove the contaminants from the wastewater
— and finally in the aquatic environment where they
may cause longterm damages on the ecosystem.
